Sellers original description:

ADO67 the Austin Allegro was designed a replacement for the 1100/1300 range. Despite a fanfare from BL when it was launched, the “new driving force from Austin” quickly developed a poor reputation and was much maligned by the motoring press. Despite these setbacks it was surprisingly advanced and also sold well - 620,000 were built during its nine year run. Of those cars, just 25 1500cc versions are left on the road.

This car is a 1974 Austin Allegro 1500 in Harvest Gold with all of the desirable early features including the famous quartic steering wheel. It has covered just 28,000 miles from new supported by a complete set of old MOT certificates. Forming part of a private collection for several years and having been used sparingly for all of its life, this car remains in beautiful, original rust free condition. It has also been Ziebarted and Waxoyled thoroughly from new including under the bonnet. In the last 1000 miles it has had a new clutch and engine service and has just been fitted with a new battery and fresh MOT. As you would expect at this mileage, this Allegro runs and drives perfectly.

Comes with a history file, various bills, old MOT’s, new and old V5 documents and original sales brochure.
