(Featured on 9th July 2013)

Make: Austin
Model: Mini Mk1 Van
Year: 1960
Registration: KFF 753

Sellers original description:

My van has a log book showing date of registration as 16/06/60.

Comes with a heritage certificate showing build date of 26/05/60 & dispatch date of 27/05/60, to Arthur Alsop Limited, Newport, Monmouthshire. It is a RHD home market vehicle.

The colour Marigold is original with tan interior & comes as deluxe specification, which included a heater. 50 in this colour & spec where built on 26/05/60. All of the 50 vehicles where distributed to different dealers throughout the country & could therefore have been a promotional colour or special edition of the time.

At the heritage centre it was confirmed during my visit that my van is the 2nd oldest surviving van known to them on build date. However we beleive it to be registered the day before the other surviving van. The other surviving van however has been modified & now retains very very little of what it should be like.

Chassis A-AV7/33137
Engine 8AM-FAU-H/34943
Body 3626
Comes with the all important heritage certificate & confirms the numbers are all correct & matching.

The Restoration:

The van has been restored to exacting standards of this early mark. Features such as flat roof, straight gear stick, seats, rear radius arms etc etc have been retained, only found on the first early vans. The quality of the restoration goe's without saying, it is concourse, absolutely beautiful.
