1988 Ford Sierra 2.0i Ghia
Facelift 5 door
1 private owner with full documented history.
You need to actually see this car to appreciate the condition, it is quite simply amazing. I know they have not got the same following as the Capris and Escorts, but give it time I am sure this car will become as collectable especially if it is kept in the condition it is in now.
It has substantial service records from new and right upto date, too many to list here backing up its low mileage. It has only covered a genuine 42000 miles. Also comes with its original service book which is fully stamped.
This is the facelift model and comes with a great list of appointments particularly for a car of this age.
2.0 pinto fuel injection engine, 5 speed gearbox, Power steering which had only just been introduced, Alloy wheels, Tilt and slide sunroof, 4 x electric windows, Central locking, Electric mirrors, Headlamp wash wipe, Original ford radio cassette, Height rack on drivers seat, Lumbar support, Front fog lights, Boot spoiler.
As to the condition, well it really is exceptional throughout. There are no signs of any previous damage, no parking dents and no scratches, I dont think there is even a stone chip on the body, even under the bonnet is almost as new, the wing rails and inner wings are like the day it came off the production line. If you want to be critical there is a tiny mark on top of the two rear doors just where the chrome mouldings are, they are tiny and have been touched in with the appropriate paint and a tiny brush, you have to look hard but this is being critical. The original Ghia alloy wheels are superb, the tyres also look new. The interior is totally original and is virtually as new. The dash, carpets and panels are all excellent. Mechanically it appears to be faultless, I have driven this car at some length and for 22 year old car it really drives without fault. The five speed gearbox, clutch, power steering and brakes are all excellent.
This Ford which was supplied by Bristol street motors also comes with its full original bookpack including service book which has no less than 21 stamps enclosed as well as all of the invoices.
Also comes with 2 keys.
The spare wheel has not been used. It has never been on the road.
This Sierra also comes with a clean bill of health in the form of an HPI printout.
To sum up this is a fantastic opportunity to own an inexpensive piece of british motoring history, which is now becoming rarer, has a low mileage by 1 owner backed by full history, and is quite simply amazing.
