Where do I start with this Special Edition Ford Fiesta Festival?

Well I bought this little fiesta just over three years ago to use as a second car, which has proven to be very reliable. I spent months trying to find a decent (rust free) Mk3 Fiesta, then I came across this one at a ford Retailer as a part exchange. (Blackaby & Pearce in Harrow, west London)

When I acquired the car it had only done a genuine 19k miles from new (old MOTs and service history to back this up), one owner, garaged from new, so it was rust free. I checked the v5 log book which showed the only keeper to be “Sisters of the Resurrection” I asked the salesman who it was owned by, he confirmed it was nuns from a local church upgrading to a new car. Before I picked the car up in December 2008 the car was fully serviced and MOT’ed by the garage and I requested they change the clutch at my expense (genuine ford part) also along with two tyres for the MOT.

This Fiesta benefits from being the basic model with a couple of simple extras like sunroof, heated rear window, rear tailgate wash/wipe and not having many electrical mod cons. If you know these fiestas well, the electrics can be a pain in the back side so this one fortunately doesn’t have all the fancy stuff like electric windows or central locking etc to go wrong, you can get in and drive without any hassle. The car drives extremely well, I would go as far as to say it drives a lot like a much newer car and isn’t anything like some of these rust buckets on eBay, trust me I have looked!! The engine uses no oil or water, changes gear effortlessly, brakes are sharp (new discs & pads). Suspension and tyres are all good as it just recently went through its MOT. The oil is still golden brown and the engine bay is very clean too. The car always gets compliments when it’s in for a service/mot, I am always told how clean and tidy it is by mechanics. All doors including the tailgate open with ease. They unlock and lock using both keys, this is another common problem on these old fords where the door locks fail, but not on this fiesta it all works perfectly fine.
Equipment list;

* Metallic Paint (Aqua Foam Blue)
* Heated Rear Window.
* Tailgate wash / wipe.
* Raven ‘Astral’ interior trim.
* Two Speed front wipers.
* Tilting/removable Sunroof.
* Ghia styled centre console.
* Sony CD player which has AUX for an Mp3 player etc. Still have original ford radio cassette player with code for the new owner if they wish to keep the original.
* Courtesy light in boot (fitted by me)
* 12v Cigarette lighter (fitted by me so you can charge your phone etc)
* Child locks on rear doors.
* Rear safety belts.

The interior is absolutely mint, comes with genuine ford floor mats, the back seat doesn’t really look like it has been used much at all. The upholstery is all stain free as are all the carpets, the car has never been smoked in so no burn marks or horrible smells to worry about, and the ashtrays have never served their purpose but do make a great place to put loose change in for parking meters. All heaters, switches and lights all works as they should.

It has just clocked over 30,700 miles and will increase slightly as it is still being used, still very low mileage for an 18/19 year old car and obviously over time it has picked up a few minor age related marks/trolley dings but nothing really to scream about, I do believe most of the car still has original factory paint and side decals. It’s not a show winner but it is one of the best mk3 Fiestas on the market and is in excellent condition and most importantly has NO RUST!!! The car has never been welded and all panels are believed to be original (please see photos) also the car was fully under sealed by me. It has been lovingly cared for by its previous owner and by me. The car has no known faults!!

This car needs for nothing and it’s been serviced recently / MOT’ed / taxed till the end of this month and is ready to go. I have v5 log book, ford owner’s folder with service manuals etc and two original ford keys. I have no use for a second car anymore, with two insurances etc it’s getting a little pointless to run them both. Unfortunately one of them has to go, in an ideal world I would like to keep it but I can only use one car at a time.

What you are getting is a cracking little car with loads of life left in it, perfect for first a time driver due to low tax and running costs or even an enthusiast for old fords. Car is ready to go to a new home and is all cleaned ready for the new owner.
