Sellers original description:

Superb, very low mileage, 1997, Mazda MX5.

This is the rare, sought after, UK, Mk1, manual, 1800i model which has the "pop-up" headlights that is so reminiscent of the 60's icon Lotus Elan.

The mileage is very low for it's age covering just over 24400 miles in 13 years. The mileage can be authenticated with all old MOT certificates dating back to the year 2000.

The car is finished in the best colour combination of classic red with black cloth trim.

I have owned this car since November 2008 and during that time it has giving me fun loving, trouble free motoring. Due to a change in circumstances I am having to offer this car for sale at the much reduced price of £2950.

A good service history is supplied with the car including a new timing belt fitted on 15/10/2008; a new vinyl roof professionally fitted 11/05/2009 and a "life-time" guarantee, Mongoose stainlees-steel, cat-back exhaust which was also fitted during 2009. The car was last serviced on 27/01/2010, at a mileage of 24456 miles, which included new top-quality oil, oil filter, spark plugs, "life-time" guarantee K+N panel filter and new brake pads.

All wheel arches have been thoroughly cleaned and waxoyled. All rear suspension parts, including exhaust heat shield, have been re-painted.

The car is, generally, in excellent condition for it's age both externally (no rust) and internally (no torn or excessive wear to the fabric trim). The area under the bonnet is superb, very clean and looks factory fresh.

Mechanically excellent with power coming from the 1800cc, 4 cylinder, twin overhead camshaft, 16 valve engine giving the car plenty of power when needed yet returning good mpg.

The car comes with 12 months MOT and 6 months road tax.

All alloy wheels are in good condition with nearly new tyres. These are the original 14" alloy wheels which have had the middle sections painted gold. I think they suit the car well.

The car is garage kept, with a dust cover, and has been used for summer motoring only.

In conclusion this is a superb, "Condition 1" Mazda MX5 Mk1 which has been well cared for throughout it's life.
