Sellers original description:
Stunning 1972 MGB Roadster registered tax exempt, previously owned for the past 23 years by architectural model maker; the attention to detail and originality are exemplary. Viewing on this car really is recommended to get an idea of just how good it really is. The engine bay is beautifully detailed and as the images show it is spotless. The same can be said for the rest of the vehicle, it was always pampered and very well looked after. That said it is still a car to be driven and enjoyed; the car has a standard 1800cc engine coupled to 4 speed gearbox with overdrive. It drives beautifully as one would expect, well balanced and smooth.
The harvest gold paint work is pristine and un-blemished. It is hard to believe the body refinishing was carried out over 19 years ago; it still looks incredibly fresh and as the images show it has a beautiful shine. The vehicle has the original dark brown vinyl interior, again in perfect condition with no rips or holes in the seats. The chrome bumpers are original, with no dents or pitting, and being genuine BMC they fit perfectly. This whole ensemble is set off with chrome Rostyle wheels all with good tyres.
The car has been regularly MOT’d and maintained for the duration of the last ownership regardless of cost; ready to drive away and enjoy. There is a comprehensive service file from its previous owners, including some of the original sale and service documents.
The car is has been entered into concourse events in the past (2001), and won several accolades. It would take virtually nothing to be a serious contender again, just further detailing where appropriate.
I think this must be one of the most original MGB's out there, it really is one of the best examples we have come across.
