Very rare 1979 Mitsubishi Colt Sapporo 2.0 GSR.
This vehicle is 31 years old and in great condition for its age only having 35,000 miles on the clock.
The Chrome trim, Alloy wheels and the Pearl metallic bronze paintwork, goes very well with the Excellent tan interior
This is a pillar less coupe model so all windows front and rear wind down out of sight
The bodywork is in great condition with a couple of little nicks on the boot and the rear near side arch, also a paint blister on the front just below the grill (see picture) i have removed the paint blister and the metal is only showing surface rust. the passenger side is still showing the original wax oil/rustproofing along the bottom of the sill so still in black, as to the drivers side this has been sprayed over in bronze. but still in good condition. The car has never been welded or will need welding as the car has been looked after and well maintained over the years.
The original owner had paid to have the car completely wax oiled/rustproofed in 1979 by PROTECTOL giving a guarantee from new against rust for 12 years.
The 2.0lt Engine starts first time, has very good oil pressure and all the gauges again work perfectly. This Model is the rare GSR model so has the Manual 5 speedo gearbox, and disc brakes all round, surprising as most cars in 1979 had drums on the rear, (as usual the japs were well ahead)
I have fitted a mono steering wheel , but also have the origional wheel also a spare rear chrome bumper, these will be included in the sale
Original service book stamped up until 1988 - 20.933 miles approx.
The car looks great and turn heads any ware I go in it, just parking becomes a history lesson to passers by.
This is a very rare model, around 10 left on the road in the UK.
