Sellers original description:

Peugeot 104 GL in stunning condition. The car has covered a mere 32,000 miles since new (with MOTs and history to verify) and been pampered and garaged its whole life. The car has most recently been stored for 2 years off the road and had a huge amount of work completed; none of this has been cosmetic though, the car is in its original, immaculate condition!

The engine is a 954cc unit with a 4-speed gearbox. It’s a brilliant little motor and a really clever bit of design: All aluminium, reclined at 72 degrees with the gearbox in the sump for added compactness, it even has a 5-bearing crank! It runs beautifully benefitting from a tune-up, uses no oil or water (coolant is correct strength and clean as it should be – no corrosion issues here!). All this zips the little ~700kg car along brilliantly whilst returning 50+mpg.

The following work has just been completed:

· Full Service (Oil and filters)

· Carb tune

· Spark plugs

· Plug leads

· Condenser

· Points

· Distributor Cap

· Rotor Arm

· Coil

· Complete fuel system overhaul including pipes and tank cleaned and re-lined (not due to leaks)

· New fuel pump

· 4 new dampers

· 5 new tyres

· Powdercoated wheels white (all 5 of them)

· New exhaust system

· Front brake callipers rebuilt

· New brake pads

· Hand brake adjusted

· Fully waxoiled

There is also a huge folder of history and original documentation dating back to its original purchase and service book; there is even a record of it having been rust proofed twice from new when serviced!

The interior is very clean and free from marks though there is some sun damage to the rear seat back and a couple of nicks in the driver’s seat. Beyond this everything else is perfect and reflects the mileage of the car.

As already mentioned the exterior is in outstanding condition with only a very few small marks as you’d expect on an un-restored, original car. The paint is bright and clean and all the chrome is good.

If you’re in the market for a very special small car (only 4 left according to howmanyleft) or a genuinely usable everyday classic with great economy in exceptional condition this car is well worth viewing. The car just passed its MOT with flying colours and no advisories so you have piece of mind it’s as good underneath as on top.
