A Brief history: My Rover 820 Si was first registered on the 11th February 1998 to the supplying Rover dealer (Mcharg Rennie & Lindsay) Ltd, 188 Castle bank Street Glasgow G11. Pre-registered and never driven by the dealership. Six days later the Rover was delivered to the first and only private owner Mr Miller of Helensburgh, G84. Mr Millar was an elderly gentleman who would only drive the car occasionally and weather permitting. Mr Millar serviced and maintained the Rover meticulously every year regardless of the low miles. On the 5th December 2006 the Rover was serviced as usual (Mileage 13050). Soon after Mr Millar became ill and was no longer able to drive. The Rover was put into dry storage and remained there until December last year. On the 17th December 2012 the Rover was finally back on the road having undergone a comprehensive service, Mot and inspection. (Mileage 13167).
Servicing was carried out by main dealer (Helensburgh Honda) for obvious reasons.

A General and Honest Description of my 1998 Rover 820 Si:
On the Road: The car bursts into life on the first turn of the key. The engine runs smooth and quiet. As you move off it is clear that this is a low mileage car. The steering is tight and positive and the suspension and ride is excellent. The automatic gears change smoothly both up and down the box. The brake pads and discs are in perfect working condition. All the electrics are in excellent working order. My Rover 800 series is wonderful. There are no faults at all. Every thing works as it should.
The Boot Compartment: Clean and dry. The interior carpets are like new with no stains or wear. The spare tyre (Good Year Eagle NTC) and wheel is original and still unused. The jack and brace are still in the cellophane wrapping and have never been opened. The locking wheel nut is present.
The engine compartment: Quite a sight to behold. The engine and surrounding interior panels are completely free from oil and dirt. The Engine compartment has been regularly cleaned and polished and finished with a quality silicone. It is as nice as the day it left the factory.
Interior: “Like Brand New” The roof lining material is quite perfect with no marks, stains or fading. The seats show virtually no sign of wear. The rear seats look almost unused. The dash, doors and centre console materials are all in perfect condition and all the wood finish is unmarked and highly polished. The floor carpets have been protected from new by factory fitted carpet mats and show no signs of wear at all. The carpet pile is deep and soft. “I can’t stress enough how perfect the cars interior is”. It is as new!!
Wheels and Tyres: All four Rover branded alloy wheel rims are in really nice condition. There are a couple of blemishes to the alloy which you can see in my pictures. Very slight and not affecting the cars wonderful appearance. The alloy wheels still retain their factory finish and have a high gloss. All tyres are premium branded Goodyear Eagle NTC. All four tyres are original and still have huge tread depth.
Body Work and General Condition: “Simply Stunning” As is common with any car fourteen years old there will be a certain amount of wear and tear as it has been used. This Rover 800 has suffered very little. With the exception of a couple of very, very small blemishes which I will be happy to point out. You will never see them otherwise. The bodywork can only be described as stunning. All the body panels are exact and completely unmarked. The under side of the car is as good as the rest of the car and there are no oil leaks. The cars exterior is really quite stunning. This Rover has been cherished for its whole life and has only ever seen the rain by accident. See my pictures; the car looks better than the pictures show it. The paint has no fading and still retains the factory shine.
