Supplied new to a mrs reay on the 01-04-1983 by Sheppards ltd, a VW dealership in Hertfordshire.
They also undertook all the servicing & maintenance up to 42,727 miles, the last service by them, being on the 24-3-1997. They kept the book stamped correctly which is present.
There is however another stamp in the book at 43,598 miles on the 24/3/1999 (2 yrs later) by a local garage but the car had only traveled 871 miles in that 2 years.
Due to the owners health, this lovely Scirocco was garaged and very occasionally used? Although still mot'd most years and maintained.
When the owner sadly passed away, she left the Scirocco to her nephew. He had the car mot'd on the 9/1/2009 with the mileage reading 45,740. It was then fully serviced including fuel filter, oil, and air filters, fan belt, and most importantly the cam belt. This work was carried out by a reputable garage near to where the nephew lived. There is no stamp in the book for this work, but a seperate reciept/invoice is present.
The only mot records are from 2009 to present day. I found some old tax disc's in the history which would verify the fact it was still being mot'd whilst being stored. The dealership booklet is still present with all the usual info books inside (inc original service book) but all other history (the old mot certs, invoices and reciepts) where sadly lost after Mrs Reays death.
The only way to describe this car is "fantastic".
