Sellers original description:

Lovely 1967 Beetle 1500.

The car has had a full and complete restoration whilst under the ownership of a previous keeper. From the history file this would appear to have been carried out between 2008 and 2011.

The work has been completed to a very high standard throughout.

In 2011 the car won 'Best air cooled Beetle' at Amakuru VW Show and also came first in the show and shine at Dubbing in Dorset in the same year.

There is a fantastic history file with the car with many many receipts for thousands of pounds from most of the well known suppliers including; Bughaus, Machine 7, GSF, Coolair, VW Heritage, Newton Commercial and more. There are too many receipts for parts and services to list. Its all in a neat file.

The current MOT is valid until 19.11.2014 and was issued without any advisory notes. The recorded mileage at the time of the MOT was 34,107 and today it is 34,113. As you can see from this I don't use the car much and that is really why it is for sale.

The mileage on the previous MOT's is;

2012 - 34,022
2011 - 33,372
2010 - 32,820
2009 - 32,600

I don't have any earlier records for MOT and must suspect that the vehicle has actually covered at least 134,113 miles during its 47 year life!! It has however only covered the minimal mileage of circa 700 since the full rebuild/restoration.

Over condition of the car is an easy 9 out of 10, maybe higher. There are two minor marks that I can see. One is the very small bit of surface rust as shown in the last picture. This is at the bottom of the passenger side door. The other is a bit of excess glue on the rear LHS corner of the inner headlining. I haven't tried but suspect that this would clean off with a little effort. Overall the car is in better condition than it would have been when new!! The heater needs attention, I don't actually think that the heater cables were ever re installed.

The colour is the original Beryl Green. This is actually more of a creamy colour though and looks very nice. The interior is fully re trimmed in immaculate Sage Green leather with contrasting piping and Sand colour carpets. All new. The car has a very expensive and rare Banjo steering wheel.

The wheels are colour coded and the tyres are like new.

This is a late slope front Beetle and as such quite a desirable model.

My Beetle drives exceptionally well. It runs straight and true and performs as it should. It wont win any races but is very usable and a pleasure to travel in.
