Beautiful 1961 Volkswagen Karmann Cabriolet Beetle.
This is a Rare Right Hand Drive Vehicle.
This vehicle underwent a restoration over 10 years ago but never got finished, I took on the project and finally put it on the road last week for the first time since 2002 (the last time it was taxed) At that time it had fresh paint, new floor pans, an engine rebuild and the hood frame was powder coated.
The car has only just had a full service, Brand new Hood, Brand new Carpets and brand new seals fitted and a fresh MOT.
The car comes with a certificate of birth from Volkswagen giving its build date and specification at build.
The car was built in 1961 and was exported to Australia, in 1968 the car was brought back to the UK and underwent an updating of some parts to make the car look like a 1968 model. I can only assume that they wanted the car to look brand new. The car has some 1968 parts still on it.
