Registration: FLB 388T
Sellers original description:
Very rare car, it is a superb example of an Mgb Roadster which is apparently 1 of just 23 conversions by Lenham Sports Cars (you may have heard of them as producers of the mgb hardtops)
They did not just want to perform another v8 engine conversion on a roadster but wanted to make it a proper 2+2 so performed the conversions on a gt model and ended up with the car as shown ie a v8 roadster which you can take now take the kids out in so your better half has no excuse to stop you buying it !
The MGB was converted in 1995 with the bill of sale at that point present, the mileage shown then was 7712 and the current mileage is just under 12000 miles with invoices and some old mots present between 1995 and 2010, the car has been off the road until recently for 5 years due to untimely passing of the previous owner.
So whilst we cant guarantee the mileage, although apparently Lenhams did choose to do conversions on very good quality cars, we can vouch for just 4000 miles being covered in the last 15 years.
It really is a fabulous looking car and has the benefit of Leather seats, Le style alloy wheels, stainless sill covers, stainless exhaust and threshold plates (door step covers) and of course the tasteful RV8 bonnet.
Mechanically the MGB Roadster is a real treat to drive with an awesome sounding tone it flies along and has a 5 speed box too. Electronic ignition is fitted to the car.
Structurally the car is excellent with no signs of any rust any where at all and passed the latest mot with no advises necessary, it really is a lovely straight car.
